These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Photo Family Tree and the this website ("Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

Photo Family Tree offers a free browser-based editor that turns family photos into a visual family tree and exports it as PNG, JPG or SVG images ("Generated Content"). The Services are provided free of charge and do not require registration.

Your Content and Your Rights

You retain all rights to the images you convert. Your files are processed locally in your browser and are never uploaded to our servers.
Generated Content belongs to you. The family tree images you export (PNG, JPG, SVG) are yours to use for any purpose, including printing and gifting. You keep all rights to the photos you add.
You are responsible for your source images. You must have the rights to any image you upload. Do not convert copyrighted artwork you do not own or lack permission to use.
We claim no ownership over your images or your Generated Content, and we store neither.

Advertising

The Services are funded by advertising. By using the site you acknowledge that:

Ads may be displayed on pages, served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense.
Ad vendors may use cookies to personalize or measure ads, as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Ad placements are clearly distinguishable from the site's own tools and content.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Services in violation of any applicable law
Convert images containing illegal content, including material that exploits minors
Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Services
Interfere with or manipulate the advertising that funds the Services (e.g., automated ad clicks)
Scrape or republish the site's text content, brand assets, or tool interfaces at scale

Intellectual Property

The website itself — its design, code, palettes, text, and branding — is owned by Photo Family Tree and protected by applicable law. Your images and Generated Content (as defined above) are excluded and remain yours.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Exports are rendered by your own browser; for color-critical prints, verify a test print against your printer's output before ordering large formats.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Photo Family Tree shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Services.

Changes to the Services and Terms

We may modify or discontinue any tool at any time, and may update these Terms. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
